SMS Policy

This SMS Policy describes how the LendFlow platform sends SMS messages on behalf of Lendmarket, the consent we require, the categories of messages we send, and how recipients can opt out at any time. It supplements our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Program description

The LendFlow SMS program sends transactional messages to Merchants who have provided their mobile number and given consent on the LendFlow registration form or another opt-in surface. Messages relate to a Merchant's loan application, contract status, payment schedule, payment failures, default escalations, and account security. We do not send marketing or promotional SMS messages.

How recipients opt in

Recipients opt in to SMS messaging by checking an explicit consent box and providing their mobile number on the LendFlow registration form. The consent text reads:

By providing my mobile number and checking this box, I agree to receive transactional SMS messages from Lendmarket about my LendFlow account, including application status, contract reminders, payment reminders, and account alerts. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to unsubscribe; reply HELP for help. See the SMS Policy and Privacy Policy.

Consent is recorded with a timestamp and the source of the opt-in.

Message frequency

Frequency varies based on activity on the recipient's account, generally fewer than 10 messages per month.

Carrier charges

Message and data rates may apply. Lendmarket does not charge for SMS messages, but the recipient's wireless carrier may.

How to opt out

Recipients may stop receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. After we receive STOP, we send a single confirmation reply and no further SMS messages will be sent unless the recipient opts in again.

Categories of messages we send

  • Application status — when an application is received, approved, declined, or requires more information.
  • Contract — reminders to sign a contract that has been sent for e-signature.
  • Funding — confirmation that funds have been disbursed.
  • Payment reminders — upcoming daily debit reminders and confirmations of successful debits.
  • Failed payments — notifications when an ACH or card debit fails or is returned.
  • Default escalations — notifications when an account enters a default state per the Funder's configured threshold.
  • Account security — alerts about new sign-ins, password resets, and other security events.

Supported carriers

Supported on all major U.S. carriers, including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and the regional and MVNO networks they operate. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy and information sharing

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information is shared only with subprocessors that help us deliver the SMS service (such as Twilio) and that are bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
